Day Trips from Prague

Meet your tour director and proceed for a full day visit to Prague Zoo. Make your way to Rašn Embankment or Cech Bridge, to travel to the zoo in a different way - on-board a motor cruiser or steamboat and enjoy (optional) ice-cream at the deck. Avoid traffic stress in the city and have awonderful experiencewith your children. During the comfortable cruise you will have the opportunity to show your children an interesting view of Prague's monuments and also enjoy refreshments. The cruise takes 75 or 55 minutes respectively and will take you to the dock on Cisarsky Island near the Zoo. First we will visit the Troja Castle, which is located near the Prague ZOO. It was built in the 17th century for the Counts of Sternberg. The castle is surrounded with beautiful gardens with little natural maze, fountains and incredible sculptures. The Gallery of Prague has displays in the castle every season. The interior possesses many breath taking frescos. Then we will have some free time for refreshments. After, if time permits, we will visit the botanical gardens with a wide range of flowers, green house, and butterfly pavilion. Finally, we will proceed to the Prague Zoo, considered the best in Europe and 4th best in the world (Trip Advisor). It is the second most visited destination in the Czech Republic after Prague Castle. It offers its visitors 12 pavilions, where they can become familiar with the variety of species of the animal kingdom, the popular Indonesian Jungle, African House, Gorilla Pavilion, Feline Pavilion, Elephant Valley, Hippo Pavilion and others among them. A new playground and resting area for children and adults "Bororo Reserve" is also available. Also, the unique Giant Salamanders' pavilion hosting the largest amphibians in the world - Chinese Giant Salamanders - is worth visiting. In the same way you can enjoy the trip home and again embark from the dock on Cisarsky Island and cruise by boat back to the centre of Prague to Cech Bridge or to the Rašn Embankment.
