32 DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN VIENNA Arrive in Vienna. Meet your Eng speaking tour director and private coach transfer to the hotel. Check into the hotel. Afternoon and evening time at your own leisure. Dinner and overnight in Vienna DAY 2: VIENNA SIGHTSEEING Breakfast at the hotel. Proceed for half day Vienna sightseeing tour with your local guide. Our sightseeing tour of Vienna will first take you through the Ringstrasse boulevard, where you will see the most beautiful buildings of the city, with magnificent history behind them, which includes impressive State Opera (every year the famous Opernball takes place there), two sibling buildings of Museum of Art History and Museum of Natural History at the Maria-Theresien Square; just opposite these two is the grand Hofburg Palace, the former winter palace of the imperial family. Further away are the beautiful buildings of the Parliament in the neoclassical style, the well-known Burgtheater and the amazing City Hall (known for its famous events of Life Ball, Viennese Festwochen and Christmas Markets). The highlight of this tour is Schönbrunn Palace – the former summer residence of the royal Habsburg family, which you will visit inside and see the historic state-rooms and how the royals once lived as well as outside on a stroll through the gardens. On the way back you will pass the Belvedere Palace, beautiful former summer residence of Prince Eugen, which is famous for its precious Gustav Klimt’s collection. Highlight tour of Schönbrunn takes approximately 35-40 minutes. It encompasses the rooms 21-40 (private rooms of Maria Theresia). Relive with us the making- of the ‚Sound of Music movie in and around Salzburg. This tour is a combination of both historical Salzburg and the breath-taking Lakes and Mountains region. We will show you many of the film locations from the Sound of Music and share not only background stories of the movie but also the history and culture of the region. The tour will take you to Mirabell Gardens, The Gazebo, Palace of Leopoldskron, Nonnberg Abbey, St. Gilgen/Lake Wolfgang, and the Church of Mondsee. Free time for lunch (N/I).
